Any time you host an event, always invite your core group first.
At the very first party that I ever hosted in New York City, my friends from college formed what I call a core group.
A core group is your reliable and supportive friends and colleagues.
They already know and like you. You can ask them for a favor or invite them to something without overthinking it.
Because you already have a relationship, they’re likely to say yes to your invitation. That’s a great core group.
